Pakistani actors Shaan Shahid, Sadia Khan and Mikaal Zulfiqar are set to star together in the upcoming film Pashmina. Filming is scheduled to begin next week following the project’s poster reveal at Punjab University.

The three actors announced the project separately on Instagram, expressing excitement as the film moves towards production.

Produced by Shehzad Rafique, Pashmina has yet to reveal its storyline, director or expected release date. Furthermore, the filmmakers have not confirmed details about the characters or the actors’ respective roles.

Cast shares excitement on social media

Mikaal Zulfiqar shared a post about the film’s opening ceremony, announcing that filming would begin next week.

“My upcoming feature film Pashmina Opening Ceremony. #ShehzadRafiq #PunjaFilmFund #PunjabUniveristy Shoot starts next week.. wish me luck,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, Sadia Khan shared Instagram stories from the event and thanked the team for including her in the project.

“Grateful to the entire team of Pashmina for being part of this beautiful journey. Today’s announcement at Punjab University makrs the beginning of something truly special,” she wrote.

Khan later shared a photograph with Zulfiqar, adding, “Excited to work with you one more time”.

The two actors have previously worked together in the television drama Laa, the historical film Huey Tum Ajnabi (2023) and the PrimeFlix series Kon Sitaray Chu Sakta Hai.

Shaan Shahid brings decades of film experience

Although the makers have kept the story under wraps, the cast brings considerable experience in Pakistani film and television.

Shahid made his film debut with Bulandi in 1990. Since then, he has built a career spanning acting, writing and directing.

His film credits include Khuda Kay Liye, Waar and Zarrar. In addition, his recent film work includes Bullah and Psycho, both released in 2026, according to the supplied report.

Sadia Khan and Mikaal Zulfiqar’s previous work

Sadia Khan first gained wider recognition through television, particularly for playing Emaan in the drama Khuda Aur Mohabbat. She later appeared in films such as Abdullah: The Final Witness and the historical romantic drama Huey Tum Ajnabi.

Zulfiqar, meanwhile, began his career in modelling before establishing himself as a television actor. His drama credits include Diyar-e-Dil, Shehr-e-Zaat and Sang-e-Mar Mar.

His film work also includes Cake, Sherdil and Huey Tum Ajnabi. His reunion with Khan in Pashmina marks another collaboration between the two performers.

For now, the film’s announcement has introduced its leading cast. However, audiences will have to wait for further details about the storyline, director and release schedule.
