Model Kaia Gerber has paid an emotional tribute to her late brother, Presley Gerber, sharing heartfelt memories of their bond one month after his death at the age of 27.

The 25-year-old model posted the tribute on Instagram on October 18. Her message came shortly after their mother, supermodel Cindy Crawford, shared a statement on behalf of the family.

“Prez, i don’t have the words. and maybe the tiny mercy is that we don’t need them all along,” Kaia wrote, reflecting on the difficulty of expressing her grief.

She also described how much being Presley’s sister meant to her.

“you know how much i loved being your sister. it has always been, and will forever be, my favorite thing about myself,” she added.

Kaia accompanied her message with childhood photographs of the siblings on a beach and a video showing them dancing together.

She remembered Presley as “my best buddy, my great protector” and “the one true love of my life”.

In their statement, they remembered Presley as a “sweet, beautiful soul who loved and is loved, now and forever”.

Presley died at a rehabilitation facility on September 20, according to records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. His official cause of death has been deferred while the investigation continues, the report stated.

Presley Followed His Mother Into Modelling

Presley was the eldest child of Crawford and Rande Gerber. He began modelling at the age of 15, following in his mother’s footsteps.

He later worked with IMG Models and appeared in fashion campaigns and shows.

Kaia ended her tribute with a raw expression of the pain she feels without her brother.
