Yango Ride has reported a 31% decline in post-trip contacts in Pakistan as part of its 2024–2025 Safety Report. The company attributed the improvement to privacy-focused communication tools and broader safety measures.
The report examines safety across the entire ride experience. These measures include driver verification, protected communication, route monitoring and post-trip accountability.
Globally, reported grave traffic violations fell by 31%, from 9.83 incidents per million trips in 2024 to 6.76 in 2025.
Meanwhile, reported reckless driving incidents across MENA and South Asia declined by 47%. The rate dropped from 19.25 to 10.1 incidents per million trips.
In Pakistan, Yango Ride said privacy-focused technology has improved communication between passengers and partner drivers.
Features such as in-app calling and number masking allow users to communicate without sharing permanent personal phone numbers.
According to the report, post-trip contacts declined by 31% in Pakistan. The company reported even larger reductions in Peru and Colombia, at 81% and 78%, respectively.

As a result, Yango says its communication system can reduce unnecessary exposure of users’ personal contact information after a journey.
The company also highlighted its identity and vehicle verification procedures.
Yango checks drivers’ licences, identities and vehicles before allowing them to operate on the platform. During 2024–2025, the company expanded selfie-based anti-fraud measures to Pakistan and other markets.
Globally, Yango Ride blocked 17,275 passenger accounts after identifying possible signs of fraud during the reporting period.
The platform also uses ratings, user reports, GPS signals and driving-style analysis. These tools help identify repeated unsafe behaviour and support further action.
Yango Ride provides urgent support around the clock across its markets. The company targets first contact within five minutes in 90% of urgent cases.
Technology helps identify urgent requests. Trained specialists then review cases and respond to users.
Roman Karlash, Chief Executive of Yango Ride, said the latest results showed that technology, human expertise and local knowledge could deliver measurable safety improvements.
He added that Yango would continue investing in prevention, detection and customer support.
In Pakistan, Yango Ride has also linked its safety system with public emergency infrastructure through the Punjab Safe Cities Authority.
Users can contact emergency number 15 through Yango’s in-app safety feature. When activated, relevant trip and location information can be automatically shared with police to support a faster response.
This integration adds another layer of protection for passengers and drivers during emergencies.
Across its global operations, Yango Ride said an incident or near miss is reported on average once every 64,000 kilometres travelled.
The company plans to focus increasingly on identifying risks before incidents occur. Therefore, its future safety strategy will emphasise earlier detection, prevention and continuous improvement.
The 2024–2025 Safety Report reflects Yango Ride’s broader approach to mobility safety. The company says it will continue combining technology, verification systems and local partnerships to support safer journeys.
