Riyadh Air’s Sfeer Nears One Million Members With 1.5 Million Points Giveaway

Riyadh Air’s Sfeer membership is expected to reach one million members this month, marking a major milestone for the Saudi airline’s rapidly growing lifestyle community. To celebrate, Riyadh Air will give one million Sfeer Points to the millionth member.

The winner will also become Sfeer’s final Founding Member. Two existing Founding Members will receive 250,000 Sfeer Points each after a random selection. The total giveaway will therefore reach 1.5 million points.

One Million Members, Major Rewards

Riyadh Air announced the milestone on August 20, 2026, saying Sfeer has achieved strong growth since its launch. The programme aims to connect travel, lifestyle benefits, experiences and partnerships through a single membership community.

The one million Sfeer Points could unlock more than 120 one-way Economy redemption flights across Riyadh Air’s expanding network once points redemption becomes available.

Riyadh Air currently expects redemption to launch later in 2026. Actual availability will depend on the airline’s network, destinations and applicable redemption requirements.

The airline said the points could also provide significant value for groups and families. For example, a family of five could potentially use the points for two Economy round trips each year for four years. A group of five could also potentially use them for about three Business Class round trips.

Actual redemption values will vary according to routes, cabin classes, availability and applicable requirements.

Sfeer Expands Beyond Air Travel

Sfeer aims to offer more than a traditional airline loyalty programme. The lifestyle membership combines travel, experiences, benefits and partnerships with a community built around Saudi hospitality and global connectivity.

Members can already earn Sfeer Points that do not expire under the current programme terms. They also receive complimentary in-flight Wi-Fi, a Best Offer Guaranteed benefit and access to partner offers and experiences.

Riyadh Air has partnered with brands including Hilton, Uber and muvi Cinemas. The airline said it will continue adding partnerships and benefits as the Sfeer community expands.

Riyadh Air Highlights Community Growth

Kim Hardaker, VP Loyalty and Sustainability at Riyadh Air, described the one million-member milestone as an important achievement for the programme.

She said Sfeer was designed to go beyond traditional loyalty schemes by bringing travel, experiences, benefits and partnerships together.

Hardaker also encouraged people to join Sfeer ahead of the one-million-member milestone. She said the company wanted to celebrate both the newest member and those who had supported the programme from its beginning.

Two existing Founding Members will receive 250,000 Sfeer Points each. The awards will give the original community a share in the milestone celebration.

More Features Planned for Members

Riyadh Air said Sfeer will enter a new phase as membership approaches one million. The airline plans to introduce additional community and loyalty features.

Members will eventually be able to share Sfeer Points with friends and family. The programme will also introduce new challenges and community-focused features.

Another planned feature is Level Points. Members will be able to progress through levels based on their engagement with Sfeer. These levels are expected to unlock additional recognition, benefits and experiences.

As Riyadh Air expands its network and partnerships, the airline expects Sfeer to offer more travel and lifestyle opportunities.

Saudi Identity With a Global Ambition

The name Sfeer draws inspiration from both Arabic and English meanings. In Arabic, it evokes an ambassador associated with generosity, hospitality and connection.

In English, the name echoes the idea of a sphere, representing a world in motion where community meets possibility.

Riyadh Air said these ideas reflect Sfeer’s ambition to connect members with travel, experiences and everyday opportunities in Saudi Arabia and beyond.

The airline, which is owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, described Sfeer as part of its wider ambition to create a new travel and lifestyle experience.

The Sfeer programme and the one-million-member campaign remain subject to their respective terms and conditions. Redemption examples are illustrative, and actual points requirements will depend on routes, cabin classes, availability and booking conditions.
