Avengers Doomsday has taken centre stage after Marvel Studios released the first official trailer for the highly anticipated superhero film ahead of its theatrical release on 18 December 2026.

The trailer offers fans their first extended look at the blockbuster and previews a massive crossover that unites heroes from three different universes. Marvel says the story follows Earth’s mightiest heroes as they face an unprecedented existential threat that could reshape the multiverse.

The film features one of the largest ensembles in Marvel Cinematic Universe history, including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Florence Pugh, Vanessa Kirby, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James Marsden, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Letitia Wright, Simu Liu and Channing Tatum, alongside several other Marvel stars.

Anthony and Joe Russo return to direct the film after leading Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito and Jonathan Schwartz serve as producers.

Marvel Studios also confirmed that tickets are now on sale following the trailer’s release.

Audiences will also have the opportunity to watch the film in INFINITY VISION, a new certification for Premium Large Format (PLF) cinemas that offers larger screens, enhanced picture quality and immersive sound.

The trailer quickly sparked widespread discussion across social media, where fans began analysing its action scenes, surprise character appearances and clues about the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

With its star-studded cast, multiverse storyline and the return of the Russo Brothers, Avengers: Doomsday is widely expected to become one of the biggest box office releases of 2026.
