KARACHI, September 16, 2026: The Pakistan Australia Business Forum (PABF) hosted its Annual Award Ceremony Dinner in Karachi to celebrate growing trade and commercial ties between Pakistan and Australia.
Business leaders, government officials and trade representatives from both countries attended the event.
Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan Timothy Kane attended the ceremony as Patron-in-Chief of PABF.
His participation highlighted Australia’s engagement with Pakistan on economic and trade cooperation.
PABF Chairman Pervez Madraswala highlighted the forum’s efforts to maintain business engagement during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He said the forum organised a series of webinars with representatives from the Australian High Commission, Austrade, Pakistan Trade Commission Sydney, Pakistan High Commission and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI).
The sessions helped maintain communication between business communities and explored opportunities for further cooperation.
PABF also led a Pakistani delegation of pulses traders to Gulfood Expo 2025 in Dubai.
The forum worked with Austrade to arrange one-to-one business meetings during the exhibition.

According to PABF, the meetings helped establish new trade contacts between businesses.
The forum said such initiatives form part of its efforts to create opportunities for Pakistani and Australian businesses.
The ceremony also recognised traders and business leaders for their contributions to Pakistan-Australia trade.
Awards covered several sectors, including agriculture, food, education, energy and technology.
The forum said the recognition aimed to highlight businesses contributing to commercial cooperation between the two countries.
PABF said it would continue supporting business engagement and trade opportunities between Pakistan and Australia.
