Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has telephoned Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi to offer condolences over the death of his father-in-law.

During the telephone call, Nawaz Sharif expressed grief over the bereavement and conveyed sympathy to the Sindh governor.

He also prayed for the elevation of the deceased’s ranks and for patience for the bereaved family.

Governor Nehal Hashmi thanked Nawaz Sharif for his condolences and expression of sympathy.

The death of Hashmi’s father-in-law, Syed Imam Raza Karim, was reported in Karachi on Wednesday. The Governor House said his funeral prayer would be offered in Gulistan-e-Johar, followed by burial at Model Colony Cemetery.

Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi took oath as the 35th Governor of Sindh in March 2026.
