Daraz Pakistan Holds Seller and Brands Summits Ahead of 11.11 Sale

Daraz Pakistan has strengthened its engagement with sellers and brand partners by hosting two major industry events ahead of its flagship 11.11 shopping festival.

The company held the Daraz Seller Summit in Karachi and its first-ever Daraz Brands Summit in Lahore. According to the company, the events brought together more than 1,200 sellers, brand representatives and industry stakeholders.

The Seller Summit returned after a three-year gap, while the Brands Summit marked a new initiative to deepen partnerships with businesses operating on the platform.

Both events focused on Daraz’s strategic priorities, changing consumer behaviour and opportunities for sustainable growth in Pakistan’s digital retail sector.

Daraz Focuses on Speed, Variety, Quality and Value

During the summits, Daraz highlighted four priorities for improving the customer experience: Speed, Variety, Quality and Value.

The company said these priorities guide its efforts to make online shopping more convenient, expand product choices, strengthen consumer trust and offer competitive prices.

In addition, Daraz outlined its continued investments in technology, fulfilment capabilities, seller tools and platform improvements. These initiatives aim to help businesses operate more efficiently and reach customers across Pakistan.

Ben Yi, Managing Director of Daraz Pakistan, said the company’s role was to provide businesses with the technology and infrastructure needed to grow.

“The future of e-commerce in Pakistan depends on creating an environment where businesses of all sizes can grow, reach more customers and unlock new opportunities. At Daraz, our role is to enable that growth by bringing together the right technology, infrastructure and capabilities to help our partners succeed. These summits reflect our commitment to listening more closely to sellers and brands, understanding their evolving needs and working together to build a stronger, more sustainable digital commerce ecosystem. By drawing on the technology, experience and capabilities of Alibaba International Digital Commerce Group, we see significant opportunities to support the next phase of e-commerce growth in Pakistan.”

Seller Summit Highlights Business Growth Opportunities

The Karachi Seller Summit brought together more than 1,000 sellers, according to Daraz.

Discussions centred on improving online operations, expanding product selection and raising service standards. Participants also explored how platform tools and business insights could support sustainable growth.

Furthermore, Daraz’s leadership shared updates on initiatives designed to improve operational efficiency, strengthen fulfilment and create a more competitive marketplace.

The event also provided an opportunity for sellers to engage directly with company representatives, exchange knowledge and receive recognition for their contributions to the platform.

First-Ever Brands Summit Strengthens Partnerships

Meanwhile, the inaugural Brands Summit in Lahore focused on building stronger relationships with established and emerging brands.

Representatives from 200 brands attended the event, covering categories such as electronics, fashion, beauty, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and lifestyle products.

Discussions explored opportunities beyond traditional marketplace participation. These included product launches, customer acquisition, brand visibility, data-driven insights and long-term category development.

Daraz also highlighted the role of DarazMall in connecting consumers with branded products. The company said the platform hosts approximately 1,500 verified brand stores, offering brands opportunities to expand their digital presence and strengthen customer engagement nationwide.

The company positioned authenticity and consumer trust as key elements of its approach to branded online retail.

11.11 Shopping Festival Takes Centre Stage

With the 11.11 shopping festival approaching, both summits also focused on preparations for the annual campaign.

Daraz shared insights into opportunities for sellers and brands to reach new customers, increase product visibility and participate in one of the platform’s major shopping events.

However, the company also stressed that long-term success depends on more than promotional campaigns. Competitive offers, reliable fulfilment, authentic products and a positive customer experience remain important for building lasting consumer confidence.

As the 11.11 sale approaches, Daraz says it will continue working with sellers and brands to broaden product access and support business growth.

The initiatives form part of the company’s wider effort to strengthen its marketplace ecosystem and contribute to Pakistan’s expanding digital economy.
