ISLAMABAD, August 24, 2026: Yango Pakistan has partnered with Mobilink Microfinance Bank (MMBL) to expand financing options for eligible drivers and couriers. The deal will provide Shariah-compliant vehicle and handset financing, Takaful protection and digital banking services.
The partnership focuses on drivers who depend on their vehicles to earn a living. Yango and Mobilink Bank will combine financing, insurance protection, payments and banking services under one ecosystem.
Eligible drivers can access Car Diminishing Musharakah financing of up to PKR 5 million. The offer also covers motorcycles, e-bikes, rickshaws and handsets through Murabaha financing.
Rickshaw, motorcycle and handset financing will also be available under applicable Corporate Guarantee arrangements. The scheme aims to help drivers obtain the assets they need for their work.
Yango Pakistan Country Head Miral Sharif said a vehicle is the foundation of a driver’s earning potential. She said access to suitable financing and protection can help drivers strengthen their livelihoods.

“Our partnership with Mobilink Bank brings these solutions closer to eligible partner drivers,” Sharif said.
She added that the initiative would help drivers invest in the tools they depend on every day.
Eligible customers will receive complimentary embedded Takaful coverage during the financing period. The protection includes income protection and hospitalization benefits.
Eligible women borrowers will also receive maternity benefits. The package includes accidental death and permanent disability coverage.
Vehicle Takaful and other asset-protection solutions will also be available under the partnership.
Mobilink Bank President and CEO Haaris Mahmood Chaudhary said Pakistan’s gig economy is creating new opportunities. He noted that many independent earners still have limited access to formal financial services.
Chaudhary said ride-hailing drivers should be viewed as entrepreneurs. Their vehicles remain central to their ability to earn income.
The partnership will also connect eligible Yango drivers and couriers with Mobilink Bank’s digital banking ecosystem.
Services will include digital account onboarding and Business Plus Account benefits. Drivers will also have access to Raast QR payments and a dedicated Driver QR for fare collection.
Selected connectivity and handset benefits will also form part of the offering. The companies said the broader ecosystem will give drivers access to financing, protection and digital financial services in one place.
The partnership comes as Pakistan’s gig economy continues to expand. For Yango drivers, the new arrangement combines access to productive assets with financial protection and digital payment tools.
