The initiative brought together senior CCP officials and employees to promote greater awareness of Pakistan’s competition laws and strengthen a culture of integrity across the organisation. Unilever Pakistan said continuous learning remains central to ensuring responsible business practices and maintaining the highest standards of corporate governance.

The training session provided practical guidance on the role of the Competition Commission in promoting fair competition and transparent markets. Employees also received detailed briefings on key areas of competition law, including deceptive marketing practices, mergers and acquisitions, abuse of dominant market position and prohibited business agreements.

Speaking at the event, Unilever Pakistan Chief Executive Officer Amir R. Paracha highlighted the importance of integrity in corporate operations.

“Integrity is at the heart of everything we do. Continuous learning is essential to fostering a culture of accountability. We thank the Competition Commission of Pakistan for sharing its expertise on practices that promote fair competition,” he said.

Competition Commission of Pakistan Chairman Farid Ahmad Tarar welcomed the initiative and emphasised that awareness is the foundation of effective compliance.

“Competition compliance begins with awareness. We commend Unilever Pakistan for reinforcing compliance through knowledge and engagement,” he said.

The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer discussion, allowing employees to engage directly with CCP officials on practical aspects of competition law and regulatory obligations.

Through initiatives such as this, Unilever Pakistan says it aims to further strengthen ethical business practices, encourage responsible corporate conduct and contribute to a more transparent and competitive business environment in Pakistan.
