KARACHI — Inclusive Employment received a major boost as Indus Motor Company (IMC), under its Concern Beyond Cars initiative, became the title sponsor of Reverse Career Expo 2.0 at the National Aerospace Science & Technology Park (NASTP) in Karachi. The event highlighted Toyota’s commitment to creating equal career opportunities for persons with disabilities (PWDs) while encouraging organizations to adopt more accessible and inclusive hiring practices.

The expo introduced a fresh approach to recruitment by shifting the spotlight from employers to job seekers. Instead of companies displaying available positions, talented PWDs managed their own exhibition booths, presenting their professional skills, educational backgrounds and career ambitions directly to recruiters. This candidate-centered format encouraged meaningful conversations between employers and prospective employees while helping organizations identify skilled professionals from an often underrepresented talent pool.

More than 100 words into the event’s proceedings, Inclusive Employment remained the central theme as leading employers, government representatives, disability support organizations and industry leaders joined hands to promote workplace diversity and equitable hiring. The initiative created a collaborative platform that encouraged businesses to remove barriers, embrace accessibility and recognize the capabilities of persons with disabilities across different industries.

Speaking at the event, Ali Asghar Jamali, Chief Executive Officer of Indus Motor Company, said supporting initiatives such as the Reverse Career Expo reflects the company’s dedication to building workplaces where abilities are valued, barriers are eliminated and equal opportunities become a standard rather than an exception.
