Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nihal Hashmi inaugurated a one-day eye health awareness and screening camp at Governor House in Karachi.

Governor Hashmi said employees of Governor House were using the facility. They were receiving timely eye examinations and treatment at the camp.

He said early detection and treatment can help protect many people from vision loss.

He stressed the need to support every effort aimed at preventing vision-related diseases.

The governor said timely medical care can help identify eye problems before they become more serious.

Governor Responds to Questions About Protest

During his interaction with the media, Hashmi was also asked about a protest camp outside Governor House.

He said such a protest should not become a source of inconvenience for the public.

“No government wants the public to face difficulties or additional hardship,” the governor said.

He added that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif wants to minimise difficulties faced by citizens as much as possible.

Governor Discusses Petroleum Prices

Responding to questions about petroleum prices, Hashmi said Pakistan imports oil from the international market to meet its petroleum needs.

He said authorities consider several factors when determining petroleum product prices.

These factors include international market conditions and other relevant considerations.

The governor said the pricing process takes these factors into account.

Call for Peace Amid Iran-US Tensions

Hashmi also addressed questions about tensions between Iran and the United States.

He said the prime minister and Field Marshal were making efforts to help stop the conflict between Iran and the US.

The governor said ending tensions in the region remains important for the entire world.

He stressed that peace and stability in the region serve the interests of everyone.
