KARACHI: Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi on Wednesday visited the Consulate General of Qatar in Karachi to offer Qatar condolences following the death of the country’s former Ameer.

Governor Hashmi met the Acting Consul General and signed the condolence book, conveying sympathies on behalf of the Government and people of Sindh to Qatar’s leadership and its people.

He paid tribute to the late former Ameer, describing him as a visionary leader and statesman whose leadership made a lasting contribution to Qatar’s progress, prosperity and development.

The governor prayed that Allah grant the departed leader the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and give strength and patience to his family, Qatar’s leadership and its people during their time of grief.

During the meeting, Governor Hashmi and the Acting Consul General also discussed the longstanding friendly relations between Pakistan and Qatar. They reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation and expanding collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
