Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) hosted the Study in Malaysia Education Fair 2026 in Islamabad on September 15 and 16.
The event attracted hundreds of students, parents, education professionals and representatives from academic institutions.
The fair gave Pakistani students direct access to representatives from leading Malaysian universities. Visitors explored undergraduate, postgraduate and professional study programmes.
University representatives also provided information about scholarships, admission requirements and student visas. They discussed campus facilities, accommodation and student life in Malaysia.
Participating universities presented internationally recognised degree programmes across various fields.
Students and parents received one-on-one counselling during the event. University representatives explained admission procedures and helped visitors understand the process of studying in Malaysia.
The discussions also covered scholarship opportunities and potential career pathways after graduation.
Many students showed strong interest in Malaysian higher education. Some also moved forward with their admission processes during the fair.
The High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, H.E. Dato Muhammad Azhar Mazlan, inaugurated the event.
He highlighted the longstanding and friendly relationship between Malaysia and Pakistan.

The High Commissioner also stressed the role of education in strengthening bilateral ties.
He said initiatives such as the Study in Malaysia Education Fair can support greater cooperation in education, research and innovation.
Such programmes can also strengthen people-to-people exchanges between Malaysia and Pakistan.
EMGS representatives said Pakistan remains an important market for Malaysian higher education.
They noted growing interest among Pakistani students in undergraduate, postgraduate and professional programmes in Malaysia.
Malaysia offers international students a multicultural environment and internationally focused academic programmes.
Students can also develop skills that support their future careers in the global job market.
The education fair allowed students to receive information directly from university representatives rather than relying only on online resources.
The Islamabad event forms part of EMGS’s wider international outreach programme.
The initiative promotes Malaysia as a destination for international students. It also aims to strengthen engagement with important education markets.
The Islamabad edition followed EMGS’s education fair in Karachi.
The programme will now move to Lahore on September 19 and 20.
