A grand Eid Milad-un-Nabi gathering was held in Karachi on Sunday, bringing together religious scholars, Naat reciters, students and members of the community.

Barkati Foundation organised the gathering with the support of HMR Waterfront. The programme began at Numaish Chowrangi and concluded at New Memon Masjid in Bolton Market.

The event ran from 2pm to 5:30pm and featured speeches on Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ. Speakers highlighted the blessed life, noble character and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Religious scholars highlight Seerah

The programme included Naat recitations, religious speeches and special prayers.

According to the organisers, around 15,000 people were expected to participate. The participants included students of religious seminaries, scholars, engineers, doctors and other members of the community.

Prominent religious personalities who attended included Haji Muhammad Nasir Qadri, Haji Abdul Samad Qadri, Qari Haji Muhammad Naeem Qadri, Muhammad Hafiz Naqshbandi, Mufti Muhammad Qasim Usmani and Syed Qaim Ali Shah.

Muhammad Yasir Barkati, Hafiz Bilal Qadri and Muhammad Imran Ashrafi also participated in the gathering.

The speakers urged people to follow the teachings and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. They also called for peace, brotherhood, unity, compassion and mutual respect in society.

Focus on youth and social harmony

The gathering placed particular emphasis on connecting young people with the exemplary life and character of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Speakers said the message of Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ can help promote love, harmony and unity among different sections of society.

The organisers also highlighted the importance of positive community engagement and social responsibility.

HMR Waterfront supported the initiative as part of its community engagement efforts. The organisation said such activities can help promote social harmony and positive values.

Barkati Foundation thanked the participants, religious scholars, guests and supporters for contributing to the gathering.
