American actress, model and businesswoman Kimmarie Johnson, known for her appearance in the television series Beverly Hills, 90210, has died at the age of 50.

Her niece, Rhonda Scott, confirmed her death to US media. Johnson died on November 4, following a medical emergency at her Los Angeles home on October 27.

She was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where doctors reportedly diagnosed her with what Scott described as a “heart aneurysm condition”. Her official cause of death has not been confirmed.

Scott remembered her aunt as a person who brought positivity to those around her.

“She radiated a light so strong and bright,” Scott said. “People who came in contact with her felt nothing but positive energy. We will miss her tremendously and will continue to honor her life forever.”

From Beauty Pageants to Hollywood

Born Kim Marie Johnson in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she first gained recognition through beauty pageants.

She won the Miss Pennsylvania USA title in 1992 and represented the state at the 1993 Miss USA competition, where she reached the final group of contestants.

Johnson moved to Los Angeles in the mid-1990s to pursue an acting career. In 1998, she appeared as Judy in an episode of Beverly Hills, 90210.

Television, Film and Business Career

Johnson later appeared in the television series V.I.P. and Wanda at Large. Her film credits included Dude, Where’s My Car?, Shadow Fury, Gang Warz, Legacy and The Summer of Massacre.

She also explored theatre, taking on leading roles in stage productions during the late 2000s.

Beyond entertainment, Johnson worked as a model and entrepreneur. In 2011, she launched her skincare business, SkinGlow by Kimmarie.

Her death marks the loss of an actress whose career spanned television, film, modelling and business.
