HBL Islamic Named Exclusive Banking Partner for Hajj 2027

Islamabad, : HBL Islamic will serve as the Exclusive Banking Partner for Hajj 2027 under an agreement with the Ministry of Religious Affairs & Interfaith Harmony.

The partnership aims to make Hajj payments easier for intending pilgrims across Pakistan. HBL Islamic will collect Hajj dues through a dedicated Shariah-compliant account.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs established the account with HBL Islamic for this purpose. Pilgrims will also have access to digital payment options.

They can pay their Hajj dues through the Ministry’s online web portal. This move supports the government’s plan to digitalise the Hajj application and payment process.

HBL Islamic will use its banking network to support the initiative. Its digital payment services will also help pilgrims complete transactions more conveniently.

The partnership will help the Ministry simplify the payment process. It will also reduce the need for pilgrims to rely solely on traditional banking methods.

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs & Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf attended the signing ceremony in Islamabad.

Federal Secretary Abrar Ahmad Mirza and Joint Secretary Hajj Sayyed Abdul Waheed Shah represented the Ministry at the event.

Muhammad Asad Khan, General Manager of HBL Islamic’s Islamic Segment, represented the bank. Other senior HBL executives also attended the ceremony.

The new arrangement combines government services with HBL Islamic’s banking infrastructure. It will give intending pilgrims more ways to manage their Hajj payments.

The initiative also highlights the growing role of Islamic banking in government services. HBL Islamic will support the Ministry as it prepares for the next Hajj season.

The partnership could make Hajj 2027 payments more accessible for pilgrims throughout Pakistan. Digital payment options may also help improve the overall application and payment experience.
