Mashreq Pakistan Launches Full Raast Payments Ecosystem

Mashreq Pakistan has launched a comprehensive Raast payments ecosystem for customers and merchants.

The bank said it is the first newly launched digital bank in Pakistan to offer the full suite of Raast services. The offering includes Raast Person-to-Merchant (P2M) payments.

The new service enables businesses to receive instant digital payments through Raast QR codes. Customers can scan the codes and pay merchants through Mashreq’s digital banking channels.

Mashreq launched the new capability in August 2026.

Raast Payments Expand Merchant Access

The service also supports payments between customers and merchants using other Raast-enabled banks.

This allows customers of any Raast-enabled bank to pay participating Mashreq merchants. The feature supports wider interoperability across Pakistan’s digital banking system.

The bank said the service is designed to make digital payments more convenient for both businesses and consumers.

Mashreq’s Raast P2M offering covers several business categories. These include grocery stores, restaurants, retail outlets and service providers.

The service also supports e-commerce merchants that want to accept account-based digital payments.

Small Businesses Can Join Raast Ecosystem

Sole proprietors and self-employed professionals can also use the service.

They can open a Mashreq NEOBiz account and register as Raast P2M merchants.

The option gives smaller businesses a digital channel to receive payments directly into their accounts.

It also reduces reliance on cash transactions and supports broader adoption of digital payments.

Mashreq Expands Digital Banking Services

Mashreq is one of the financial institutions operating across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Its expansion into Pakistan’s digital banking market includes services for individual customers and businesses.

The launch of Raast P2M adds merchant payment acceptance to its digital banking offering.

The development also comes as Pakistan continues to expand its digital payments infrastructure through Raast.
