Three Lahore Police Officials Removed After Alleged Favouritism in TikToker’s Case

Three Lahore police officials, including the Station House Officer (SHO) of Defence B police station, have been removed from their posts following allegations of providing preferential treatment to TikToker Samea Mubarak and releasing her after arrest.

According to sources, the action concerns alleged favouritism towards Samea Mubarak, the sister of well-known TikToker Nadeem Nani Wala.

The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations confirmed that the SHO, the police station clerk and a female constable had been removed from their posts.

Inquiry Ordered Into Alleged Preferential Treatment

The DIG Operations said police had stopped Samea Mubarak while she was travelling in a vehicle without a number plate.

The officials subsequently faced allegations of exceeding their authority and accepting money to release suspects. However, these allegations have not yet been established.

The DIG said the three officials were removed to ensure a transparent investigation into the matter.

He assigned the inquiry to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations.

Departmental Action May Follow

The DIG Operations said the department would take further action against the officials if investigators substantiated the allegations.

The inquiry is expected to examine the circumstances surrounding Mubarak’s arrest and release, as well as the conduct of the police personnel involved.

The officials’ removal from their posts does not establish wrongdoing. Further departmental action will depend on the findings of the investigation.
