Two policemen, including a station house officer (SHO), were martyred in an attack in Karak district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to police, armed men opened fire on police personnel in the New Karpah area of Karak.

SHO Banda Daud Shah Daud Khan and his gunman, Farhad, died in the attack.

Following the incident, Karak District Police Officer Imran Khan reached the site with additional police personnel.

Police have launched a search operation in the area. Officers are working to arrest the suspects involved in the attack.

Authorities have also increased security in the area following the incident.
