Social media influencer Nafia Sahar has alleged that staff at a high-end hotel in Karachi assaulted and harassed her during an incident on August 22.
Sahar shared her account on Instagram and said she had submitted a complaint and medical documentation. However, she claimed police had not yet registered her FIR.
“Assaulted. Humiliated. Harassed,” Sahar wrote. She alleged that her room lock was broken and that staff took her mobile phones during the incident.
The influencer also raised concerns about personal information stored on the devices. She said the phones contained private conversations, photographs and videos that could be relevant to the case.
In a video shared online, Sahar described events that she said happened before the confrontation.
She alleged that hotel staff tried to open her room after she secured the door with a chain lock. According to Sahar, hotel manager Zain attempted to use a master key.
The influencer said she told the manager that the electricity in her room had been switched off for several hours. She also said she felt suffocated and was wearing nightwear.

Sahar then alleged that several people entered the room and assaulted her.
She claimed that five or six people were present during the confrontation. Additionally, she said staff later dragged her outside the room and took her toward a police station.
Sahar also posted footage that she said showed hotel staff attempting to force open her door.
Her social media posts included a medical report from the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. The report documented bruises and other injuries, according to the material she shared.
However, the contents of the report have not been independently verified.
Sahar also said the dispute involved a payment issue. She claimed she had asked hotel staff to take the matter to Civil Court, where her legal team could respond.
“I was harassed,” she said while describing the incident.
The influencer said she spent an entire day at a police station with her medical documentation.
Despite that, she claimed authorities had not registered her FIR. She also said she had approached the Deputy Commissioner’s Office and Commissioner’s Office for assistance.
“I feel completely helpless,” Sahar said.
She has called for the matter to proceed through legal channels and for authorities to examine the evidence.
Sahar has publicly shared her account, videos and medical documentation regarding the incident.
However, her allegations have not been independently verified. The hotel’s response to the claims was not included in the material provided.
Any determination of responsibility will depend on an official investigation and evidence presented by all parties.
