The magic surrounding Abu Dhabi’s upcoming Harry Potter attraction is growing as Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi teases what could be a major expansion.
The theme park has released a new post and countdown ahead of a full reveal on September 7 at noon UAE time. However, Warner Bros World has not yet officially named the three new themed areas.
Fans are already trying to decode the clues. Several theories point to iconic locations from the Wizarding World, including Hogwarts Castle, Diagon Alley and the Forbidden Forest.
Plans for the Abu Dhabi attraction have been in development for several years.
In 2022, Miral and Warner Bros Discovery announced plans to bring a large-scale Harry Potter-themed experience to Yas Island. The project was presented as a major addition to Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi.

The park currently features six themed lands. These include Warner Bros Plaza, Bedrock, Dynamite Gulch, Cartoon Junction, Gotham City and Metropolis.
Now, the upcoming Wizarding World attraction could significantly expand the park’s offering.
The latest promotional material has encouraged fans to examine every detail.
One leading theory suggests that Hogwarts Castle could form one of the new areas. Diagon Alley and the Forbidden Forest have also emerged as popular possibilities.
Nevertheless, Warner Bros World and Miral have not confirmed any of these locations.
Some footage has also sparked speculation about scenes inspired by Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Fans believe one sequence could recreate the chaotic journey involving the flying Ford Anglia and the Hogwarts Express.
The apparent sequence shows an aerial chase before the enchanted car crashes into the Whomping Willow. If confirmed, the scene could become part of a major ride or immersive attraction.
Another theory centres on the Forbidden Forest. Fans believe the experience could include a rescue sequence involving Harry and Ron, alongside encounters with giant spiders inspired by Aragog and his offspring.
For now, however, these remain fan theories rather than confirmed details.
The Abu Dhabi development is expected to become a major addition to the global Harry Potter theme-park experience.
Importantly, the attraction is expected to be the first permanent Harry Potter experience outside a Universal-operated theme park. It would also mark the first attraction of its kind in the Middle East.
Like the rest of Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi, the Wizarding World area will be located indoors. Furthermore, the attraction will be fully air-conditioned, giving visitors a climate-controlled experience despite Abu Dhabi’s hot weather.
Construction is reportedly underway. Some industry reports have suggested a possible 2029 opening, although Warner Bros World has not announced an official opening date.
For now, Harry Potter fans will have to wait for the official announcement.
The September 7 reveal is expected to provide more details about the three mysterious areas. It could also confirm whether fan theories about Hogwarts, Diagon Alley and the Forbidden Forest are accurate.
Until then, the clues have given Potter fans plenty to speculate about as Abu Dhabi prepares to welcome a new Wizarding World experience.
