Gold Prices fell in Pakistan on Saturday after international bullion markets recorded a sharp decline, pushing local rates lower for both gold and silver. The drop reversed gains recorded a day earlier as weaker global prices weighed on the domestic precious metals market.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), international gold declined by $37 per ounce, bringing the bullion price down to $4,043 per ounce. Reflecting the global trend, the local price of 24-carat gold dropped by Rs3,700 per tola to Rs426,736, while the price of 10 grams fell by Rs3,202 to Rs365,857.
More than 100 words into the market update, Gold Prices continued to mirror international movements as silver also posted losses. The price of silver declined by Rs57 per tola to Rs6,237, while 10 grams of silver fell by Rs49 to Rs5,347, extending the mixed trend seen in recent trading sessions.

The decline followed Friday’s rally, when international gold prices gained $30 per ounce to $4,080, lifting local bullion by Rs3,000 per tola to Rs430,436. During the same session, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs2,572 to Rs369,029.
Earlier in the week, gold prices fluctuated alongside global market movements. On Thursday, international bullion rose by $10 per ounce to $4,050, while the domestic price increased by Rs1,000 per tola to Rs427,436. Silver, however, moved lower in both international and local markets.
Wednesday saw gold prices ease by Rs1,000 per tola to Rs426,436, following Tuesday’s sharp decline of Rs4,300 per tola. Before that, Monday’s trading session had recorded a Rs4,000 increase, highlighting the continued volatility in precious metal markets.
Market analysts said domestic bullion prices remain closely tied to international trends, with fluctuations driven by global investor sentiment, currency movements, and expectations surrounding interest rates and economic conditions.
