KARACHI, September 2026: Chery Master Pakistan is set to launch the all-electric Chery Q EV at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) 2026 on September 18.
The launch comes as electric vehicles gain momentum in Pakistan’s automobile market. Chery Master Pakistan says the country’s new-energy vehicle (NEV) segment grew by 392% during FY2025-26.
The company also estimates that NEVs now account for around 15% of Pakistan’s overall automobile market.
Chery Master Pakistan will announce the Chery Q’s price at the auto show. Bookings are also expected to open on the same day.
The Chery Q features a 42.7 kWh battery. According to the company, the electric car can deliver a claimed range of up to 400 kilometres under the NEDC testing cycle.
The vehicle also offers claimed efficiency of up to 9.4 kilometres per unit.
The Chery Q measures 4,195mm in length and has a 2,700mm wheelbase. These dimensions give the vehicle a compact footprint while providing relatively spacious interior space.
The model is positioned primarily as an urban electric vehicle. Chery Master Pakistan is targeting consumers looking for a practical additional car for everyday commuting.
The Chery Q comes with a range of technology and driver-assistance features.
Its package includes Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems with 21 assistance features. The vehicle also offers Automatic Parking Assist.
Inside, the car features a 15.6-inch 2.5K display and mobile connectivity. It also includes Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality.
These features are designed to combine everyday convenience with modern electric mobility technology.

Chery Master Pakistan is also highlighting the potential connection between electric vehicles and Pakistan’s expanding rooftop solar market.
The company believes households with surplus solar generation could use that electricity to charge electric vehicles. This could reduce their reliance on grid electricity or conventional fuel.
According to estimates shared by Chery Master Pakistan, a petrol vehicle travelling around 20,000 kilometres annually could consume approximately Rs488,000 in fuel.
In another calculation, the company estimates that the Chery Q could cost around Rs30,000 a year in energy for households using surplus solar power.
That estimate is based on real-world efficiency of around 7.2 kilometres per unit. Actual costs, however, would depend on electricity rates, driving conditions and charging patterns.
The potential link between solar power and electric mobility could become more important as rooftop solar adoption increases.
Chery Master Pakistan estimates that Pakistan imported around 17GW of solar photovoltaic capacity during 2024.
This has created a growing base of households with the ability to generate their own electricity. Consequently, some consumers could use surplus solar power for vehicle charging.
The development could strengthen the economic case for electric mobility among households already investing in solar energy.
The Chery Q will expand Chery Master Pakistan’s presence in the country’s growing NEV market.
Globally, Chery operates in more than 130 countries and has more than 20 million customers, according to the company.
In Pakistan, Chery operates in partnership with Master Group. The group has more than six decades of industrial experience.
Chery Master Pakistan says it has established 15 3S dealerships in less than 10 months.
The company will reveal the Chery Q’s final pricing, booking details and complete commercial package at Pakistan Auto Show 2026 on September 18.
