AICHI-NAGOYA, September 19, 2026: Seven athletes from the Global Team Toyota have qualified to represent their respective countries at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games and Asian Para Games.

The athletes will compete across six sporting disciplines, including both able-bodied and para sports.

The selected athletes are M Fadli Imamuddin of Indonesia in para cycling, M Ammar Aiman Nor Azmi of Malaysia in para athletics, and Singapore’s Toh Wei Soong in para swimming.

The group also includes Philippines gymnast Carlos Yulo, Philippines para swimmer Ernie Gawilan, Thailand badminton player Kunlavut Vitidsarn, and Vietnam para powerlifter Lê Văn Công.

Preston Tan, Vice President of Toyota Motor Asia, said the athletes represent the company’s commitment to supporting sporting communities across the region.

“At Toyota Motor Asia, this belief is central to Move Your World and to our continued partnership with the Global Team Toyota Athletes,” Tan said.

He said Toyota was proud to support the athletes as they prepare to represent their countries at the Games.

Tan also highlighted their journeys beyond competition. He said the athletes inspire communities while pursuing their sporting ambitions.

Move Your World Focuses on Participation

Toyota said sport forms an important part of its Move Your World initiative.

The company said the initiative reflects its belief that movement goes beyond travelling from one place to another.

It also includes opportunities to participate, pursue ambitions and make progress.

Toyota said its athletes demonstrate this through their sporting journeys. Some have adapted to new disciplines, while others have reached higher levels of international competition.

The company also highlighted their role in inspiring younger athletes and contributing to their communities.

Since 2018, Toyota said it has partnered with more than 20 Global Team Toyota Athletes across Asia.

The partnerships cover different countries, sporting disciplines and athlete abilities.

Toyota Group to Provide Mobility Support

Toyota Group will also support the Aichi-Nagoya Games through mobility services.

The group will provide more than 1,900 rental vehicles to transport athletes and officials.

It will also provide 15 eco-vehicles and more than 100 small mobility units.

The mobility solutions will support transportation across competition venues.

Toyota said the initiative forms part of its wider support for athletes, sporting communities and mobility at the Games.
