Sindh Delegation Attends Hunan Economic and Trade Exchange in China

KARACHI/CHANGSHA, September 19, 2026: A high-level Sindh government delegation attended the launch ceremony of the 2026 Hunan International Friendship Cities Economic and Trade Exchange Event and Cooperation Dialogue in Changsha, China.

The event took place on September 18 in Hunan Province.

The delegation was led by Sindh Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Transport and Mass Transit and Information Sharjeel Inam Memon.

It included Qassim Naveed Qamar, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh, and Khizar Pervaiz, CEO of the Sindh Enterprise Development Fund (SEDF).

Pakistan’s Consul General in Guangzhou Yasir Iqbal Butt and Trade and Investment Counsellor Muhammad Imran also accompanied the delegation.

Delegates From 28 Countries Attend Event

Representatives and ministers from 28 countries attended the event.

The gathering focused on opportunities for economic cooperation and stronger relations between Hunan and international partner regions.

Hunan Governor Mao Weiming welcomed the foreign delegates.

He called for stronger sister-province relations between Hunan and participating provinces and regions.

The event provided a platform for delegates to explore potential cooperation in trade, investment and other areas.

Sharjeel Inam Memon held discussions with provincial leaders from Hunan during the event.
