Hamdard Foundation Pakistan (HFP) organised a Naunehal Seerat Conference at the Bait-ul-Hikmah Auditorium in Madinat-ul-Hikmah.

HFP President Ms Sadia Rashid presided over the conference.

The programme featured Hamd, recitation in praise of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), a Milad gathering and a Bismillah ceremony for young students.

Former Acting Vice Chancellor of the University of Karachi Professor Dr Shaista Tabassum attended the event as chief guest.

Shaista Tabassum Highlights Seerat’s Role in Character Building

Addressing the conference, Dr Shaista Tabassum said studying the Seerat of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) provides guidance for practical life and character building.

She said his life reflected mercy, goodness, moral excellence and guidance for humanity.

She urged students to not only study the Seerat but also apply its teachings in their daily lives.

According to Dr Tabassum, the Seerat teaches truthfulness, honesty, integrity, justice and love for humanity.

She also encouraged students to distinguish between truth and falsehood instead of following traditions simply because previous generations followed them.

Students Present Messages of Mercy and Forgiveness

Naunehal speakers Syeda Hani of Hamdard Public School, Malaika Malik of New Standard Public School, Maryam of The Oasis Public School and Mustafa Nadir of Azimi Public Higher Secondary School also addressed the gathering.

The students said the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) provides an example of mercy and forgiveness.

They highlighted the importance of avoiding anger, hatred and arrogance.

The students said people should develop compassion, patience and forgiveness in their daily lives.

They also encouraged young people to follow the noble example of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and build positive qualities in their character.

Dr Tabassum Praises Students and Teachers

Dr Shaista Tabassum praised the students for their prepared and thoughtful speeches.

She also appreciated the efforts of their teachers in preparing the participants.

She paid tribute to the educational and training services of Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said.

She also prayed for the health and well-being of HFP President Sadia Rashid.

Dr Tabassum further stressed the importance of using appropriate language in religious speeches and Na’at.

She said expressions of devotion should remain within the limits of Islamic beliefs.

Milad Gathering and Bismillah Ceremony Held

A Milad gathering formed part of the conference programme.

Students from Hamdard Public School, Hamdard Village School and other schools presented Hamd and Na’at.

Hamdard Pakistan Managing Director and CEO Ms Fatema Munir Ahmed also attended the event.

Hamdard University Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Imran Amin, teachers and parents were also present.

The conference concluded with a Bismillah ceremony for Naunehal students Naimal Imdad and Syeda Ayesha Naqvi.

Qari Hamid Mahmood Al-Hussaini led the concluding prayer.
