KARACHI, September 17, 2026: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah met Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi at Governor House in Karachi on Thursday.
During the meeting, the chief minister expressed condolences over the death of Governor Nehal Hashmi’s father-in-law, Syed Imam Raza Karim. His death was reported on September 16.
Murad Ali Shah conveyed his heartfelt sympathy to the governor and his family.
He also offered Fateha and prayed for the departed soul. The chief minister prayed for the deceased to be granted a high place in the hereafter.
Murad Ali Shah also expressed condolences to the governor’s wife and offered his sympathies to the bereaved family.
Syed Imam Raza Karim, the father-in-law of Governor Nehal Hashmi, passed away in Karachi.
According to the Governor House, his funeral prayers were held in Gulistan-e-Johar. He was later laid to rest at Model Colony Cemetery.
A condolence gathering for the deceased is also scheduled at Governor House Karachi on Thursday from 4pm to 6pm, according to a report published by Jang.
The meeting between Murad Ali Shah and Nehal Hashmi took place at Governor House in Karachi.
The two officials have also met previously to discuss provincial matters. The Governor House reported that their earlier meeting covered the overall situation in Sindh and matters of mutual interest.
The latest meeting, however, focused on condolences following the death in the governor’s family.
