Samsung may accelerate development of the successor to its Galaxy Z TriFold, according to a report citing leaker Lanzuk.
The report, carried by 9to5Google, also claims that Samsung is considering an earlier launch for a separate slideable smartphone.
Both devices were previously expected to arrive in 2027. However, Samsung has not confirmed any change to those plans.
The company could still launch the Galaxy Z TriFold 2 and the slideable device on their original schedules.
The reported Galaxy Z TriFold 2 could receive several design improvements.
According to the report, Samsung is considering a thinner and lighter design. The company may also improve the device’s durability.
Samsung could keep the price close to that of the first-generation model.
The original Galaxy Z TriFold entered the market as a premium, limited-volume smartphone. It launched in South Korea at around $2,500.
Samsung later brought the device to the US in January 2026 for roughly $2,900.
