APAG, Maker of Soya Supreme, Lists on Pakistan Stock Exchange

Agro Processors & Atmospheric Gases Limited (APAG), the company behind Soya Supreme, has been listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

The company marked the milestone with a Gong Ceremony at the PSX headquarters in Karachi.

APAG has a 45-year history in Pakistan’s consumer goods sector. It now operates a portfolio of brands across cooking oils, sauces and other food categories.

The company’s brands include Soya Supreme Cooking Oil and Banaspati, Soya Supreme Olive Cooking Oil, Malta, Smart Sauces, Supremo and Taqat Margarine.

APAG IPO Attracts Strong Investor Interest

APAG offered 58.049 million ordinary shares in its initial public offering. The shares represent 15% of the company’s post-IPO paid-up capital.

The Book Building portion covered 43.537 million shares. The company set a floor price of PKR 32 per share and a ceiling price of PKR 44.80.

Investors discovered the strike price at PKR 33 per share.

The Book Building portion received bids for 1.84 times the shares on offer. The General Public portion also drew strong demand and reached 1.83 times subscription.

The public offering attracted PKR 878 million against an offered amount of PKR 479 million.

The strong response reflects investor interest in APAG and Pakistan’s consumer sector.

PSX Welcomes Soya Supreme Maker

Speaking at the ceremony, PSX Shareholder Director Ahmed Chinoy, H.I.S.I., welcomed APAG to the listed community.

He said the listing marked the 12th PSX listing of the calendar year and the fourth listing of the fiscal year.

Chinoy also highlighted the company’s connection with Pakistani consumers through Soya Supreme.

He said the IPO showed investor confidence in companies with strong brands and business fundamentals.

Chinoy added that investor accounts on the Pakistan capital market have crossed 630,000. Millennials and Gen Z have also contributed to the expansion of the investor base.

APAG Targets New Categories and Markets

APAG CEO Ahmad Aziz Ghulamhussain described the listing as a major milestone for the company.

He credited APAG’s employees, consumers and stakeholders for its growth over the past 45 years.

Ghulamhussain said Soya Supreme has become a familiar brand in Pakistani households. He also stressed that the PSX listing marks the beginning of a new phase rather than the end of the company’s journey.

APAG plans to strengthen its existing brands and enter new categories. The company also aims to expand its brands into international markets.

Ghulamhussain said APAG wants to build brands that can reach consumers around the world.

KTrade Calls APAG a Strong 2026 IPO

Omar Salah Ahmed, Managing Director of KTrade Securities Limited, welcomed APAG to the PSX food sector.

He highlighted the company’s 45-year history and Soya Supreme’s position as a household brand.

Ahmed said KTrade was honoured to support APAG through its IPO and listing process.

He added that APAG’s corporate culture, financial performance and sponsors’ commitment could support further growth.

He said the company has the potential to become one of the stronger IPOs of 2026.

APAG Begins Life as Listed Company

The ceremony ended with the traditional ringing of the PSX Gong.

The event marked APAG’s transition into a publicly listed company.

The listing gives APAG a new platform for growth and expansion. It also brings a long-established Pakistani consumer business into the country’s capital market.

For APAG, the next phase will focus on brand development, new categories and international expansion.
