GREE Electric Appliances Inc. has ranked No. 1 globally by sales volume of premium residential air conditioners in 2025, according to a Market Position Statement issued by research and consulting firm Frost & Sullivan in July 2026.
Frost & Sullivan defines the premium category as residential air conditioners priced within the top 20% of units sold in their respective regional markets.
The category focuses on products that offer higher energy efficiency, quieter operation, advanced features, refined design and stronger build quality.
As a result, leadership in the segment reflects more than sales volume. It also highlights engineering and product development capabilities.
GREE has built its technology portfolio through decades of research and development.
The company says it currently holds 50 independently assessed world-leading technologies.
These technologies cover areas including compressor design, system engineering, artificial intelligence and acoustics.
GREE says its AI-based energy management technology can improve annual energy efficiency by up to 23%.
Its SilenzX series can operate at indoor noise levels as low as 15 dB(A), according to the company.

The technology received a Gold Medal at the 51st International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva, GREE said.
The company has also developed compressor technologies designed for extreme-heat environments.
GREE entered the Pakistani market in 2005 and has since established a strong presence in the country.
The company says its global engineering technologies also address conditions faced by Pakistani consumers.
Its inverter air-conditioning systems are designed to operate during severe summer conditions.
The systems can also start and operate under low-voltage conditions, a challenge that affects parts of Pakistan’s electricity network.
GREE says its inverter technology can also help households reduce electricity consumption compared with conventional systems.
GREE operates in Pakistan through DWP Group, its sole distributor and official brand partner since 2005.
DWP Group provides consumer electronics and technology solutions across the country.
It also supports GREE customers through the DWP Care service network.
The network provides after-sales support and service access to households using GREE air-conditioning products.
GREE said its global premium positioning and local service infrastructure allow Pakistani consumers to access the technology recognised in Frost & Sullivan’s 2025 global ranking.
The recognition adds to GREE’s international profile as the company continues to focus on energy efficiency, intelligent technology and air-conditioning solutions for demanding climates.
