Security forces killed three alleged terrorists, including Fitna al-Hindustan commander Naqeeb, during an operation in Mastung district, Balochistan, state media reported on Monday.

According to Radio Pakistan and APP, security forces targeted a vehicle carrying the suspected militants with a quadcopter.

The strike killed all three men and destroyed their vehicle, the reports said, citing security sources.

Authorities said security forces remain committed to combating terrorism. They added that operations would continue against militant groups.

Six Suspected Militants Killed in Pishin

In a separate operation, the Balochistan Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) killed six alleged terrorists in Pishin district, Radio Pakistan reported.

A CTD spokesperson said four CTD personnel also suffered injuries during the operation.

The operation led to the recovery of a large quantity of arms and ammunition, according to the spokesperson.

He said the suspected militants had taken part in attacks on security forces in the area.

Security Operations Continue Across Balochistan

Security forces and police have conducted several operations against militant groups in Balochistan in recent months.

On August 21, security forces, working with police, reported killing 49 alleged terrorists in intelligence-based operations across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), forces killed 37 alleged Fitna al-Hindustan militants in 10 operations across Mastung, Mach, Khuzdar and Panjgur.

The military also reported recovering and destroying weapons, explosives and remote-detonation equipment during those operations.

Pakistan Faces Rising Terrorism Threat

Pakistan has faced a rising number of militant attacks in recent years.

Data from the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data (ACLED) shows that reported attacks in Pakistan increased from 658 in 2022 to 2,425 in 2025.

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has recorded a significant share of the violence. However, Balochistan also continues to face attacks targeting civilians and security installations.

Pakistani authorities have repeatedly accused India of supporting militant groups operating in Balochistan. India has rejected such allegations.

The federal government designated militant groups operating in Balochistan as Fitna al-Hindustan last year.

Joint Forces Intensify Counterterrorism Operations

Authorities have continued joint operations involving the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, police and counterterrorism units.

Earlier this month, an attack in Ziarat’s Kach Mangi Phase III area killed at least 30 people, including 27 police personnel, according to Pakistani authorities.

Officials said militants also abducted several civilians and police personnel during the assault.

The Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps and Balochistan Police subsequently launched a joint operation against the attackers.

Security forces have since intensified operations across the province as authorities seek to prevent further attacks.
