Pakistan State Oil (PSO) hosted a student exhibition at its head office in collaboration with the Karachi Vocational Training Centre (KVTC).

The event showcased handmade products created by KVTC students. It also highlighted the importance of vocational training, social inclusion and meaningful community engagement.

PSO and KVTC have maintained their partnership since 2018. The collaboration focuses on creating opportunities for differently-abled youth to develop practical skills and participate more actively in society.

Students Showcase Vocational Skills

The exhibition featured stalls displaying handmade products prepared by KVTC students.

PSO employees had the opportunity to purchase the products and directly support the students who created them.

The event also encouraged direct interaction between students and employees. Students explained their creative processes and demonstrated their skills to visitors.

The interactive format helped create conversations around their experiences, abilities and aspirations.

Speaking at the event, Asif Khan, a member of the PSO CSR Trust, highlighted the company’s commitment to community development.

“As the nation’s own energy company, PSO is deeply committed to giving back to society in the most meaningful ways possible,” Khan said.

He said the partnership with KVTC reflects PSO’s belief in creating opportunities for differently-abled people to develop skills and express their creativity.

Khan added that the exhibition demonstrated the importance of inclusion, dignity and equal opportunity.

KVTC Praises Long-Term Corporate Support

Farheen Amir, Chief Operating Officer of KVTC, said sustained corporate support plays an important role in helping students build confidence and work toward financial independence.

She thanked PSO for supporting KVTC since 2018.

Amir said exhibitions such as this one provide more than an opportunity to display handmade products.

“They show our students that their hard work is valued, their abilities are recognized, and their potential is limitless,” she said.
