Sindh Governor Meets Chinese Consul General in Karachi, Discusses Regional Peace and Cooperation

Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi visited the Chinese Consulate in Karachi on Sunday and met Consul General Feng Deheng and senior consulate officials.

The Chinese officials warmly welcomed the governor during his visit. The two sides discussed Pakistan-China relations and ways to expand cooperation.

Their talks also covered regional security, peace and economic collaboration.

Governor Highlights Pakistan-China Friendship

Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi described the friendship between Pakistan and China as a lasting example of mutual support.

He said both countries have stood by each other during difficult times. He added that close cooperation between Islamabad and Beijing has become even more important amid the current regional situation.

The governor also highlighted the importance of maintaining strong diplomatic and economic ties between the two countries.

Pakistan Calls for Dialogue and Diplomacy

The governor stressed the need for peaceful solutions to regional and global disputes.

He said war and confrontation cannot resolve problems. Instead, he called dialogue and diplomacy the most sustainable paths towards lasting peace.

Hashmi reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting peace and stability in the region. He said Pakistan would continue playing a constructive role in reducing regional tensions.

Sindh Governor Seeks Chinese Technology and Expertise

The governor said Pakistan wants to benefit from China’s advanced technology and expertise.

He highlighted China’s experience in different fields and expressed interest in expanding cooperation in areas that can support Pakistan’s development.

Hashmi also referred to the Makkah Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye. He said the agreement reflects a shared commitment to peace, stability and collective security.

Chinese Consul General Reaffirms Cooperation

Chinese Consul General Feng Deheng appreciated Pakistan’s role in promoting regional peace and stability.

He said China wants to further strengthen its long-standing friendship with Pakistan.

Feng also reaffirmed China’s commitment to expanding cooperation with Pakistan.

The two countries can strengthen collaboration in technology, trade and development, he said. He also stressed the importance of continued coordination between Islamabad and Beijing.

According to the Consul General, stronger cooperation can contribute to regional peace, stability and prosperity.

The meeting ended with both sides reaffirming their commitment to closer relations and greater cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
