Mövenpick Hotel Karachi Celebrates Japanese Cuisine With Consulate General of Japan

Japanese cuisine took centre stage at Mövenpick Hotel Karachi as the hotel hosted the second chapter of its Grand Pan-Asian Food Festival in collaboration with the Consulate General of Japan.

Following the festival’s opening weekend dedicated to Chinese cuisine, the culinary journey moved to Japan. Guests enjoyed a specially curated selection of Japanese dishes and experienced the country’s distinctive food traditions.

Japanese Culinary Traditions Take Centre Stage

The Japanese cuisine weekend featured a Japanese chef who presented authentic flavours, techniques and dishes.

The experience gave guests an opportunity to explore Japan’s celebrated culinary culture. The collaboration with the Consulate General of Japan also added a cultural dimension to the event.

The weekend opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Consul General of Japan Mr. Hattori and Deputy Consul General Mr. Tamura attended the ceremony.

Mr. Muhammad Khurram Awan, General Manager of Mövenpick Hotel Karachi, also attended. CEO Mr. Sikander Mehmood was present as well.

Guests Experience Japanese Culture

The event brought together distinguished guests, food enthusiasts and community members.

The evening highlighted the connection between Japanese culture and cuisine. Guests experienced authentic flavours and traditional culinary techniques.

Speaking about the collaboration, Muhammad Khurram Awan said the partnership offered guests more than Japanese food.

“It gave our guests an opportunity to experience and appreciate the culture, traditions and culinary artistry behind it,” he said.

Four Culinary Destinations

The Japanese weekend marked the second destination in the hotel’s “4 Weeks. 4 Culinary Destinations” festival.

The culinary journey will continue with Indonesia and Thailand. These destinations will complete the hotel’s month-long celebration of Asian cuisine.

The Japanese cuisine weekend took place at Lotus Court, Mövenpick Hotel Karachi.

Guests enjoyed authentic flavours, culinary craftsmanship and Japanese hospitality throughout the evening.
