Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Furniture Trade Show 2026 at the Expo Centre Karachi, Hanif said such events could help local businesses expand and create new commercial opportunities. He urged the business community to continue supporting exhibitions that bring manufacturers, traders and buyers together.

Hanif also distributed commemorative shields and certificates among exhibitors who participated in the furniture exhibition.

Senior Vice Chairman of the Pakistan Furniture Association Rana Waheed and Horizon Events Chief Executive Rashid Ansari thanked participants, guests and exhibitors for helping make the event successful.

They said the organisers planned to hold the exhibition on a larger scale in the future. They added that expanding the event could create more opportunities for Pakistan’s furniture manufacturers and businesses.

The closing ceremony attracted several prominent figures from the business, industrial and social sectors.

Guest of Honour Mirza Ikhtiar Baig attended the event along with Gohar Ali Khattak, Town Chairman of Shah Faisal Colony, and renowned singer Hassan Jahangir.

President of the Furniture Association Manzoor Colony Shahzada Saqib Naushahi, Colonel Safdar of the Fauji Foundation, and Gujranwala-based businessmen Abid Munir and Saqib Munir also attended the ceremony.

Organisers presented commemorative shields to the chief guest and other distinguished guests to recognise their participation and support.

The organisers said the successful conclusion of the exhibition demonstrated the potential for trade shows to connect businesses, showcase local products and encourage commercial activity.
