KARACHI: HugoBank has received pilot operations approval from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), marking a major step toward the launch of the country’s newest digital bank. The approval allows HugoBank to begin testing its banking platform, products and operational systems with a limited group of customers before opening its services to the wider public.

More than 100 words into the announcement, HugoBank confirmed that the pilot programme will focus on assessing product performance, operational readiness and customer satisfaction.

During the controlled rollout, the bank will gather customer feedback and operational insights to refine its digital banking services before a nationwide launch.

The State Bank’s approval enables HugoBank to validate its systems while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining high standards of security and service reliability.
