Indus Motor Company (IMC) hosted the grand finale of the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest on Friday at a local hotel in collaboration with Toyota Motor Corporation Japan.

The competition encourages creativity, innovation and imagination among children aged 15 years and under. It is one of the world’s largest international art contests for young artists.

Record Participation from Across Pakistan

This year’s competition attracted 29,535 artworks from children across Pakistan.

A total of 1,408 schools participated, including 638 government and underprivileged schools, highlighting the contest’s growing nationwide reach.

Following a multi-stage evaluation process, judges shortlisted 488 artworks for the final round.

National Winners Recognised

The event honoured 27 regional winners, while nine young artists earned National Winner titles and will represent Pakistan at the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest global finals in Japan.

The organisers also presented several special awards. Three participants received the Jury Choice Award, while another three won the Waku Doki Award, selected by IMC engineers for artworks that reflected excitement and creativity.

This year, IMC introduced the Vice Chairman Choice Award. Vice Chairman Shinji Yanagi personally selected three artworks for the new honour.

The company also presented the CEO Choice Award, with CEO Ali Asghar Jamali selecting three outstanding entries.

IMC Highlights Creativity and Innovation

The judging panel included faculty members from the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture: Aliya Yousuf, Khalid Anwar, Masood A. Khan and Abdul Jabbar Gull.

Speaking at the ceremony, IMC Chief Executive Officer Ali Asghar Jamali said the contest celebrates imagination and the creative potential of Pakistan’s children.

He added that the record participation, especially from government and underprivileged schools, reflects the company’s commitment to providing opportunities for young talent across the country.

Vice Chairman Shinji Yanagi said every artwork tells a unique story and showcases the creativity of young minds. He said the newly introduced Vice Chairman Choice Awards recognise originality, emotion and bold imagination.
