Sindh Power remained the focus of high-level discussions on Tuesday as Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi and Minister of State for Power and Public Affairs Unit Abdul Rehman Khan Kanju agreed to improve electricity supply and strengthen the province’s transmission network.

The meeting took place at the Governor House Karachi. Minister of State for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Kheal Das Kohistani also attended the discussions.
Governor Nehal Hashmi said providing uninterrupted, reliable and high-quality electricity is one of the government’s top priorities.
He stressed the need for sustainable solutions to electricity-related issues and said upgrading the transmission system would improve the performance of the power sector while providing meaningful relief to consumers.
The participants reviewed electricity supply across the rest of Sindh and discussed the province’s transmission network, the performance of the power sector and challenges faced by electricity consumers.
The governor said improvements to the electricity system would strengthen public services, support industrial growth, encourage commercial activity and contribute to overall economic development.
Minister of State Abdul Rehman Khan Kanju said the federal government is taking all possible steps to strengthen the electricity system in Sindh.
He assured Governor Nehal Hashmi that the government would continue efforts to provide residents with a stable, reliable and uninterrupted electricity supply.
