Psychology student Misbah Arshad has won the Miss Universe Pakistan title after a competitive selection process. She will become the fourth Pakistani woman to represent the country at the global Miss Universe competition.
Arshad received the crown and sash from outgoing titleholder Roma Riaz at an official ceremony in Zambales, Philippines.
The competition featured several rounds, including evening gown, burkini and traditional wear. Contestants then faced a final question-and-answer round that helped determine the winner.
The final question gave Arshad an opportunity to reflect on her life and personal growth.
Asked whether her 10-year-old or 80-year-old self would ask the tougher question, she chose her younger self.
“My 10-year-old self would ask me the harder question because she would want to know how everything turned out,” Arshad said.
She also spoke about failure and the lessons she gained from difficult experiences.
Arshad said every setback gave her an opportunity to learn and grow. She added that people should embrace these moments and continue moving forward.

The new Miss Universe Pakistan already has international pageant experience.
She represented Pakistan at Miss International 2023 in Japan and Miss Supranational 2024 in Poland.
Arshad will now travel to Puerto Rico for the 75th edition of the Miss Universe competition. She will represent Pakistan on the global stage as she begins her new reign.
Following her victory, Arshad shared a message about perseverance on Instagram. She said failure does not decide whether someone becomes a winner. Instead, she stressed the importance of maintaining hope, continuing to work and improving with every step.
Arshad also explained the symbolism behind her winning gown. Vietnamese designer Nguyễn Tiến Truyển created the outfit.
The gown features a pure white design, which Arshad described as a symbol of hope. She said the colour represents the importance of continuing to believe in one’s dreams.
The crystals on the gown represent education and knowledge. According to Arshad, people gain these qualities through continuous learning and personal development.
Reflecting on her victory, Arshad said the crown represents more than simply winning a competition.
She described the journey as a combination of emotional highs and lows, hard work, lessons and meaningful relationships.
As she prepares for the international competition, Arshad said she wants to remain grateful, enjoy each stage of the journey and stay focused on the experiences that made her path meaningful.
