IT sector development took centre stage as Parliamentary Secretary for Information Technology and Telecommunication Engr. Sabeen Ghouri met a delegation from Alpha. K Digital Solutions in Karachi to discuss strategies for strengthening Pakistan’s digital economy.

The meeting focused on expanding public-private collaboration, accelerating digital innovation and increasing the technology sector’s contribution to national economic growth.

Members of the delegation highlighted Pakistan’s potential to boost national revenue through software exports, digital entrepreneurship and innovation-led growth.

They also discussed opportunities to position Pakistan as a regional hub for digital finance and technology services.

The participants emphasised the need to support startups by improving digital access, encouraging strategic partnerships, introducing innovation-friendly policies and creating greater market opportunities.

Engr. Sabeen Ghouri welcomed the exchange of ideas and acknowledged the growing role of Pakistan’s technology ecosystem in driving economic progress.

She stressed the importance of stronger cooperation between the government, industry and academia to accelerate digital transformation.

Ghouri also called for continued investment in digital infrastructure to promote innovation, create employment opportunities and strengthen Pakistan’s global competitiveness in the technology sector.

The Alpha. K Digital Solutions delegation included Executive Members Muhammad Areeb, Syed Usman Ahmed Shah and Areesha Zafar, along with Network Manager Waleed Ahmed and Media Coordinator Fahad Khan.

M. Arslan Khan, a Computer Science graduate of Nazeer Hussain University, also attended the meeting and contributed to discussions on technology, innovation and entrepreneurship.

The meeting reflected a shared commitment to strengthening Pakistan’s digital ecosystem through closer cooperation between the public and private sectors.
