Gas Supply issues in Hyderabad and surrounding areas were discussed during a meeting between SSGC Senior General Manager Madni Siddiqui and Member of National Assembly Syed Waseem Hussain.

The meeting took place at SSGC’s regional office in Hyderabad. SSGC Regional Head Hyderabad Farooq Nizamani and other officials also attended the discussion.

The officials reviewed public concerns related to gas availability, pressure problems, and the use of gas suction machines.

Pressure Issues and Illegal Devices Discussed

MNA Syed Waseem Hussain highlighted challenges faced by residents of Hyderabad, especially in peri-urban areas. He raised concerns about low gas pressure during peak hours and difficulties in accessing utility services.

SSGC officials appreciated his efforts to raise public issues. Madni Siddiqui said cooperation between public representatives and utility providers can help improve services.

He stressed the need to eliminate illegal gas suction devices. He said these machines affect gas supply for other consumers and create serious safety risks.

Syed Waseem Hussain agreed to support action against these devices. He said authorities should completely ban their use.

Global Situation Affects Gas Availability

Madni Siddiqui informed the MNA that ongoing international tensions, including the US-Iran conflict, have affected gas availability. He said the shortage of this limited resource has increased due to global challenges.

He explained that providing gas beyond meal timings remains difficult until international conditions improve. However, SSGC will deploy additional teams to improve load management during cooking hours.

The company aims to ensure better gas availability in Hyderabad and nearby areas during peak usage periods.

SSGC Plans More Customer Centres

During the meeting, Syed Waseem Hussain highlighted the limited number of SSGC Customer Facilitation Centres (CFCs) in Hyderabad.

He requested the addition of at least two more centres to improve complaint resolution services for consumers.

Madni Siddiqui assured the MNA that SSGC would begin work on expanding customer facilities as soon as possible.

Infrastructure Development in Balochistan

Madni Siddiqui also discussed SSGC’s infrastructure improvements in Balochistan during a conversation with Jawed Ali, Bureau Chief of VSH News Balochistan and Sindh.

He said the company has strengthened its distribution network across Balochistan. He added that SSGC has integrated its system around Quetta’s expanding urban areas.

He explained that the company manages seasonal demand through structured load management plans for both winter and summer periods.

Siddiqui also highlighted the risks linked to illegal gas compressors. He said removing these devices requires cooperation from citizens.

He added that SSGC’s enforcement and theft control teams conduct regular operations. However, public support remains essential because company staff must respect residential privacy rules.

SSGC officials expressed hope that gas supply conditions in Pakistan would gradually improve once global challenges ease.
