CAP Begins Preparations for 17th Food Safety & Quality Conference 2026

Food Safety remained the central focus as the Consumers Association of Pakistan (CAP) held a planning meeting for the 17th Consumers Food Safety & Quality Conference & Awards 2026, reaffirming its commitment to consumer protection and public awareness across the country.

The meeting took place on July 24, 2026, at TFS School (CAP Karachi Division) under the chairmanship of CAP Chairman Kaukab Iqbal. Participants reviewed preparations for the annual conference and discussed initiatives aimed at promoting food safety, consumer rights, organizational development, membership affairs, and nationwide awareness campaigns.

During the meeting, CAP Women Wing Chairperson Maryam Hina highlighted the vital role of women in advancing consumer rights, improving food safety awareness, and educating the public. She called for greater participation of women in CAP’s activities and community outreach programs.

Sarfraz Ahmed Khan emphasized the importance of assigning clear responsibilities to office-bearers and members to ensure the successful organization of the conference. He also praised Chairman Kaukab Iqbal for creating opportunities that empower members and encourage professional growth across different sectors.

Concluding the meeting, Kaukab Iqbal thanked CAP Sindh Chairman Furqan Bilal for his hospitality, excellent arrangements, and continued efforts to strengthen the association’s mission in Sindh.

Participants unanimously reaffirmed their commitment to implementing the decisions taken during the meeting and ensuring the successful execution of upcoming CAP initiatives to promote safer food, stronger consumer rights, and improved public awareness throughout Pakistan.

The meeting was attended by Kaukab Iqbal, Maryam Hina, Sarfraz Ahmed Khan, Nadeem Raza Shah, Dr. Asghar Ali Soomro, Rana Aslam Rajpoot, Dr. Salahuddin Qureshi, M. Ashraf Abbasi, M. Ishaq Abbasi, Zulfiqar Dhakan, Sohail Ahmed Siddiqui, Kamal Mughal, Hina Nawaz, Urooj Habib, Munazza Naeem, Sadaf Jan, Maliha Noor, Asma Abdulsalam, Fajar Fatma, and Mrs. Zulfiqar Dhakan.
