Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has appointed Adrian Hamilton-Manns as its new Chief Executive Officer. He assumed charge of the office on November 2, the airline’s board announced.
Hamilton-Manns brings more than 30 years of professional experience in the global aviation sector. He has previously served as the chief executive of three airlines and is recognised for his expertise in airline transformation and recovery.
The PIA board described his appointment as an important step in the national carrier’s ongoing transformation. It said his leadership and strategic experience would support the airline’s efforts to improve operations and strengthen its commercial position.
Meanwhile, the consortium and PIA management board thanked outgoing CEO Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Amir Hayat for his service.
AVM Hayat led the airline for four and a half years. During his tenure, he oversaw structural reforms, efforts to improve operational efficiency and preparations for the airline’s planned privatisation.
