The future of Netflix’s popular teen drama XO, Kitty remains uncertain, as fans wait to learn whether the series will return for a fourth season or conclude with a feature-length film.

Netflix has not officially renewed or cancelled the show. However, recent comments from cast member Anthony Keyvan have sparked fresh speculation about its future.

Keyvan, who plays Q in the series, responded to fans on TikTok with cryptic remarks, including: “It’s not coming…” In another reply, he wrote: “I’m going to hold your hand when I say this…”

The comments quickly prompted questions about the show’s fate. However, they do not confirm that Netflix has cancelled the series.

Netflix Yet to Confirm Season 4

Netflix has made no official announcement since the third season premiered on April 2, 2026.

In May, Anna Cathcart, who plays Kitty, told Us Weekly that the cast had not received confirmation about another season.

A July report by Deadline offered another indication that the show’s future remained open. The publication reported that Paramount Television Studios had extended its options on the series and its cast, keeping the possibility of a continuation alive.

Season 3 Viewership Shows Audience Interest

Viewership figures also point to continued interest in the series.

According to Netflix’s engagement report, XO, Kitty Season 3 attracted 12.9 million views during its first week. The season reached 29.3 million views by June 30, 2026, placing it 16th in Netflix’s viewing figures for the first half of the year.

Despite the audience response, Netflix has not confirmed whether it will order another season or produce a film to conclude the story.

What Could Happen Next?

Season 3 ended with Kitty and Min Ho reconciling before travelling to Portland.

If Netflix approves another instalment, the story could follow the characters through their senior year, graduation and college decisions.

For now, both a fourth season and a concluding film remain possibilities. Fans will have to wait for an official announcement from Netflix to learn how Kitty’s story will continue.
