A Lahore court has ordered the release of Saadat Anees in a case involving an alleged assault on a petrol pump employee after the complainant and the accused reached a settlement.
Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Ali Amjad issued a written order discharging Anees from the case following the reconciliation between the two parties.
According to the court order, the complainant told the court that a misunderstanding had led to the incident. He also said he no longer wished to pursue the case.
Police had requested 10 days of physical remand to interrogate Anees as part of the investigation.
However, the magistrate rejected the request after the complainant confirmed that both parties had agreed to resolve the dispute.
