KSE-100 Extends Previous Session’s Recovery

Thursday’s advance followed a positive session on Wednesday, when the KSE-100 gained 641 points and reclaimed the 165,000 level.

The market had experienced volatility earlier in the week. However, selective buying helped the index recover from an intraday low near 164,060 on Wednesday.

On Thursday, buying interest in selected heavyweight stocks supported the benchmark during morning trade. As a result, the index moved above 166,800 by midday.

The benchmark traded within a range of approximately 1,255 points between its intraday low and high. Trading activity also remained firm, with more than 112 million shares changing hands.

Investors Await Market’s Closing Direction

The midday performance kept the KSE-100 firmly in positive territory. However, the final outcome will depend on trading activity during the remaining hours of the session.

Investors continued to monitor market movements as the benchmark extended its recovery. The index’s latest gains followed Wednesday’s rebound, when selective buying helped restore the 165,000-point level.

The session remained open at the time of reporting, and the closing index level had yet to be determined.
