KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) traded higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index gaining 470 points by midday. Buying across key sectors supported the market amid falling oil prices and a relatively calm domestic environment.
The index opened on a positive note. At 9:33am, it had climbed 558.25 points, or 0.34%, to 165,682.66.
By midday, the KSE-100 Index stood at 165,594.55 points, up 470.14 points, or 0.28%, from the previous close of 165,124.41.

Buying interest centred on automobile assemblers, cement companies, commercial banks, oil and gas exploration firms, and oil marketing companies.
Investors also monitored developments in international oil markets. Oil prices fell in Asian trading, putting them on course for their first decline in nearly a week.
Traders assessed supply risks following attacks on Saudi Arabia. They also weighed the possibility of additional diesel supplies from Russia.
