Engro Fertilizers has joined the Punjab Transport Authority, Government of Punjab, to raise awareness about mandatory vehicle emission testing. The initiative aims to improve air quality and promote healthier communities across the province.
The campaign encourages vehicle owners to test their vehicles and obtain emission certificates. By raising public awareness, the initiative also highlights the role of individuals in reducing harmful emissions and supporting cleaner air.
During the first phase, all vehicles with internal combustion engines (ICE) must undergo emission testing and obtain certification by October 15, 2026. Lahore will serve as the campaign’s first city.

The initiative aims to monitor vehicle emissions and encourage compliance with applicable standards. Moreover, it seeks to promote shared responsibility for protecting public health and the environment.
The campaign aligns with Engro Fertilizers’ THRIVE framework, which reflects the company’s commitment to a healthier and more sustainable future.
One of the framework’s key pillars, Energy & Emissions Stewardship, promotes responsible action for people, communities and the environment. Through its support for this awareness campaign, Engro Fertilizers is extending that commitment beyond its own operations.
Vehicle owners can contribute to cleaner air by getting their vehicles tested and certified within the required timeframe. In addition, meeting applicable emission standards can help reduce harmful pollutants released into the atmosphere.
Engro Fertilizers has urged the public to recognise the importance of vehicle emission testing. Every vehicle that meets the required standards can contribute to healthier communities and a cleaner environment for future generations.
