The Karachi Mobile and Electronics Dealers Association (KMEDA) has announced the recovery of a major portion of mobile phones that Customs authorities had stopped from TCS courier shipments.

According to KMEDA, the recovered goods have been returned to the concerned shopkeepers. The association described the development as an important step toward resolving issues faced by traders.

KMEDA President Muhammad Minhaj Gulfam, along with his cabinet and members of the association, played a key role in following up on the matter, according to the association.

Traders Receive Recovered Mobile Phones

KMEDA said a significant portion of the held mobile phones has now reached the relevant traders.

The development has brought relief to shopkeepers whose goods had remained in Customs custody. The association said the recovery shows the importance of continued follow-up and practical efforts to address traders’ concerns.

The association said Mushtaq remained involved in follow-up efforts aimed at securing the release of the traders’ goods.

KMEDA said its leadership and cabinet worked together throughout the process to pursue the traders’ concerns with the relevant authorities.

Association Says Efforts Will Continue

The association said its work will not end with the recovery of the goods already returned.

KMEDA plans to continue efforts for the recovery of the remaining mobile phones. It said protecting traders’ rights and interests remains one of its key objectives.

The association also stressed that its focus is on practical results rather than competition with other trader groups.
